Stamp Simply using NEW things!

Hi everyone! It's time for another Stamp Simply challenge! This week, Sharon has challenged us to USE SOMETHING NEW. This is a great challenge for the first week in the NEW year! So, bring in the new year and use some of those Christmas goodies you received/bought for yourself *wink*!

You know what I like about Sharon's challenges? They are all about stamping simply! These last couple days I have been dealing with a fussy tooth (to put it mildly) and didn't have the time or energy for anything BUT simple! LOL!

My card uses my NEW {ippity} Stamps Devoted set, my NEW copic marker (YG93) and some NEW Fancy Pants Vintage Valentine pattern paper. I stamped the branch image out in Soft Suede ink 2 times. I added tiny Kaiser pearls in Rose and wrapped the pink burlap string around the front 2 times and tied in a small bow.

Speaking of NEW stuff! Check out these pics. My mom got the boys a really old dinosaur alphabet stamp setfrom Goodwill. Seriously, my mom has the BEST luck at the Goodwill! WHO finds a complete LIKE NEW set like this? Anyway, here are the boys having fun today with their new stuff!

Everyone is welcome to play along!! Sharon has Mr. Linky up and working, so be sure to link up your challenge card to her bloggy. And, be sure to use keyword SSNOTIME120 when you upload to SCS. Be sure to stop by the team's blogs to see all their thank you cards!

Stef makes me smile and copic storage

Hi everyone! A quick post today. I had time last night to play along with this week's Featured Stamper, SmilynStef! She is such a fun person who is very talented AND very generous with her comments around the galleries and blogs.
I chose a tree to case. I changed the paper and the image, but really kept with the feel of the card. I used Cosmo Cricket, Earth Love. The image is from Miss Anya Dressy from The Greeting Farm and the sentiment is Verve's Thankful Hearts. I colored her with my copics and decorated the card with some accent pearls and buttons! I even did some stitching. To get her to "sit" on the bottom piece of cardstock, I cut her legs out but kept the sides in tact. Then I slid her legs over and popped out the upper part of the panel. Looks kinda cool. Here is a detail pic of the buttons.

I received several emails and questions about the Copic Marker storage I showed yesterday, so I also wanted to give you all some more details. The white organizer pieces are from JetMax, their white storage cube system.
I got all mine at Craft Warehouse on sale for $20 a cube. The one I use for my Copics is called the Embellishment Center. Here is my entire piece. I have 2 side by side. Most of my PTI ribbon are on the top bar, the next shelf holds my Martha Stewart ribbon and Oregon Raindrops, next one has my Nestabilities in CD cases, pencil/pen/file/stuff holder and my stickles and shimmerz, with the bottom holding my Copics.
I use clear bookends that I found at IKEA for dividers within the white cube bottom. Then, to further separate the markers, I slid in some Cuttlebug embossing folders that I rarely use. Not the prettiest, but it works! Here is a close up pic and one of the bookends. Well, thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!!

Monday H{ippity} Hop

Hi everyone! It's Monday and time for another H{ippity} Hop! Be sure to go to the {ippity} blog to see the master list.

My project is also for this week's H{ippity} Hop challenge from our gal, Kelly, which is to "resolve" to try something new. Could be a new technique, new stamping goodies, anything new to you!! Everyone is welcome to play, use keyword, IHHC4 when uploading to SCS.

I chose to use new goodies. This totally fun Bella Blvd paper, Honey I'm Home is new, the corduroy brad is new, and the Copic markers I used to color the tree the amazing heart tree image are new too! In fact, my mom & sister got me 22 COPIC MARKERS for Christmas! Oh yeah, Merry Christmas to me. :-)

Back to the cards, I am totally in need of thank you cards now, so I used the TY sentiment from {ippity} Stamps Just Wanted to Say. This first card is also for this week's Hope Stamps Eternal cupcake challenge #39! I took my inspiration from the brown cupcake icing and bright colors.

I punched squares from the various pattern papers in the pack and the 4th square are some Petal Pop flowers from the Tropical Mix.

My second card uses my current favorite image, the heart tree from {ippity}'s Straight from the Heart. **happy sigh** aren't those birdies the most?!? I colored them with copic markers and used the same Honey I'm Home paper pack.

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check out the rest of the H{ippity} hop goodness!

Oh and just for fun, here is a picture of my newly stocked Copic Marker storage. **another happy sigh**

I also wanted to mention that I have put together some "cardmaking accessory kits" that can be purchased on my {ippity} sales blog with any of my {ippity} stamp sets, or even on their own. They are very affordable at $3 each, but are in limited quantity.
Oh and before I go, Verve Stamps is having a super huge End of the Year sale now thru December 31st!! All stamps 20% to 50% off!

Card Deets (for both):

Clean and Simple Thank you notes

Hi everyone, it's time for another Stamp Simply challenge! This week, Sharon has challenged us to make CAS thank you note cards. You can do any theme, lots of us can use some Christmas themed thank you cards this time of year, but what about something else?

I chose to make a set of summer themed thank you notes. For 3 reasons: First, I just got the entire amazing MME Breaking Free "Fruit Flavored" collection kit (love the fun summer/Hawaiin theme it has), second, my birthday is in the middle of June and I can use these then, and third, I am kinda tired of Christmas. Oh yeah, I said it, on the NIGHT BEFORE Christmas -bwahaha!

So here they are one at a time. Each card uses a small strip of the Fruit Flavored pattern paper and some of the die cuts in the kit. ***happy sigh*** The sentiment is from Verve's Celebration of Thanks.

Sharon has Mr. Linky up and working, so be sure to link up your challenge card to her bloggy if you play along!! And, be sure to use keyword SSNOTIME119 when you upload to SCS. Be sure to stop by the team's blogs to see all their thank you cards!

Thanks -Michelle

Did you see...

Hi everyone! Well, it's the eve before Christmas Eve! Do you all have your shopping, wrapping and baking done? Today I made a huge dent in my shopping, baked all my banana breads and wrapped almost all the presents -whew, I am tired and my feet hurt -LOL!

I don't have a card to share (yeah, my mojo is on a "holly jolly" break!), but DID YOU SEE the January issue of Card Maker magazine? The amazing card on the cover is made by my GF Janette -congrats you Cover Girl you!

But, HELLO, way at the top to the right is MY VIP princess card!! SQUINT really hard, you can barely see it!! My card has a coordinating altered pail that is an online bonus feature. What up? I am a 1/10th Cover Girl now -LOL!

And, check out the December CARDS magazine. I have 3 items in there, on page 23 and 49 I have a Christmas card and treat bag sportin' some Unity goodness. And on page 66 is a fun circle card with one of Julee's amazing Verve sentiments! Fun, fun, fun!

Thanks for stopping by, I will be back tomorrow night with another Stamp Simply challenge brought to you by Sharon! Merry Christmas Eve Eve!

Monday H{ippity} Hop

Hi everyone! It's Monday and time for another H{ippity} Hop! It's my first hop as a member of the DT! Be sure to go to the {ippity} blog to see the master list.

My project is also for this week's H{ippity} Hop challenge from our gal, Eva, which is to make a gift card holder. Believe it or not, I have never done this. So I used a template from Tori Wild that I found through Julee's blog! Man, I love the resources you can find on blogs!!I started by chosing the pattern paper, I sooooo love this Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket. I think it's my FAVORITE paper from 2009! I used the frame image and sentiment from {ippity}'s Just Wanted to Say set. With this frame image, you don't need to have the Nestabilities to create frames, just stamp and cut it out!! I accidentally stamped the sentiment slightly off the center, so I added a small cut out flower from a piece of the pattern paper for some balance. I also cut out a flower/leaves to accent the inside.

The ribbon is some twill that I bought at Big Lots a long time ago for $1 and now it's all the rage! What up? LOVE it when that happens!! Here is a detail picture. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to hop around and check out all the {ippity} goodness!!

P.S. Straight from The Heart sets are in stock now! Just in time for Valentine's cards. AND I made up a special Valentine's cardmaking kit, check out all the deets on my Ippity bloggy.

Card Deets:
Stamps - Because of You, Just Wanted to Say ({ippity} stamps)
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Ridinghood Red
Paper - Vintage Cream, Ridinghood Red, Early Bird pattern paper
Accessories - twill, rhinestones, button from the Fire Engine collection

I added some Kaiser rhinestones and tiny Zva Creative rhinestones to the tree to give it some extra sparkle.

Friends with Flair and fun news

***this is my second post today. If you are looking for my Stamp Simply challenge card, click here or scroll down***

Hi Everyone, it's Friday and I have two {Ippity} cards to share!! Angela has the master list of all the 50 designers participating in the FWF this week! Take a lookie at the Unity blog for the names/links of more Unity/{Ippity} goodness.

My first card uses the amazing heart tree image from {ippity} stamps, Straight from the Heart set -isn't it the cutest?!? The inside sentiment is from Just Wanted to Say set. The pp is Cosmo Cricket Early Bird and the fabulous striped ribbon is from Sharon's Stamp Simply store.

I colored the tree with copic markers. The hearts are colored over with the red Stardust glitter pen and the center heart is popped up. It follows the SCS sketch challenge this week. Super cute sketch I think!

Here is a picture of the inside. For some reason, I am always asked if I have anniversary cards and never do -not anymore!!

This next card actually uses a card base I had made up from over a year ago -yep, I keep things around THAT LONG! LOL! I scrapped the card, but liked the "bones" of the card base, so I kept it. I revamped it with the little lovebirds from the Because of You set.

This set is perfect for flopsy doodle cards AND has lots of images for Valentine's cards too!!

AND NOW FOR MY FUN NEWS...
I made the {ippity} Stamps Design Team!
Woohoo! I am so excited!!!
As you can tell by the cards I make, I really LOVE the {ippity} stamps and even sell them here. So to design for the company is such an amazing opportunity!

Card Deets (heart tree):
Stamps: straight from the heart
Paper: vintage cream, pure poppy, cosmo PP
Ink: memento rich cocoa
Accessories: copic markers, may arts ribbon, red glitter pen (Sakura)

Card Deets (lovebirds):

Stampin' some CAS snow

Hi everyone, it's time for another Stamp Simply challenge! This week, Sharon has challenged us to make a CAS card that has SNOW on it. I loved this challenge. I needed 3 more Christmas cards and CAS was in definitely in order and now I'm done!! Whew!

My card uses the long retired, but will always be my favorite snowman image, Frosty!! Isn't this guy the cutest? When I am short on time, I like to find a layout that has a similar image size and copy it. I used a layout from this Anya post a couple months ago.

The snow is from a couple of lines from liquid applique -very easy to do with alot of impact! (quick TIP, apply the liquid applique BEFORE you glue the cardstock layers together as the heat gun will warp the glue and make your them funky!!)
The pattern paper is MME Merry Days of Christmas -which is a perfect match to the SU Baja Breeze colored felt snowflakes! The sentiment is from Verve's Holly Jolly. This is CAS, so it's fairly straight forward. I do have to say, once I bought my Score-Pal, making CAS cards went to the next level. Scored lines on the card base make a huge difference don't 'cha think?

Sharon has Mr. Linky up and working, so be sure to link up your challenge card to her bloggy if you play along!! And, be sure to use keyword SSNOTIME118 when you upload to SCS. Be sure to stop by the team's blogs to see all their altered cards!

Sharon, herself

Card Deets:
Stamps - Frosty, Holly Jolly
Paper - White, Baja Breeze, MME pp
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copic markers, red rhinestones, silver brads (all from Pink hedgehog papercrafts), liquid applique, felt snowflakes (SU!)

3x3 Thank you note cards

Hi everyone! So, do you find yourself always needing small thank you note cards? I DO!! I sell {ippity} stamps and always send a personal thank you card with each purchase. Lately, I have been making a card one by one as I need it, but last night I sat down with some pattern paper scraps and went to work on a stash of them!!

How fun are these little guys? These use Julee's circle Mojo sketch (me likey!!), some PTI pattern paper scraps and the Thank you sentiment from {ippity} Just Wanted to Say. I love these!!

This next set of four all use PTI's Turning a New Leaf. (P.S. this set ROCKS!!) and a sentiment from Verve's Celebration of Thanks -that little "thanks" sentiment is perfect scale for 3x3 cards. Again, I used some of my PTI pattern paper (good grief I have a lot and NEVER use it) and some retired SU 1/4" pink grosgrain.

The key to these is quick and easy. I use punches, self adhesive gems, and scraps of already embossed paper (I keep everything). I think these turned out cute cute cute!! Now I am all set for the next 6 orders!! LOL!!

Well, that's about it. Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake inpsiration challenge #37

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal! Check out this week's cupcakes - how cute are these guys??
OK, so have you ever have a card in your mind? You imagine it pretty, with lovely swirls on the pattern paper, gorgeous snowflake embossed cross panel, amazing image, billowing snow along the bottom, it follows the VLVDec01 sketch and BOOM!

The card is a stinker? I mean, seriously a STINKER?

That happened to me with my card! I tried and tried. The more stuff I did to this card, the WORSE it got! Desperately trying to avoid the trash can, I took away some panels, added 2 snowflakes and managed to salvage it in some way - LOL!

Here it is... see what I mean? EGADS! Oh well, I gotta let it go -LOL! The turquoise snowman is from {ippity} stamps, Kissmas & Mistletoe and the pattern paper is Cosmo Cricket, Jolly by Golly. The snowman has some tiny Zva Creative rhinestones on him and he is tucked behind a drift of snow. The snow is made from Glistening Snow Writer by DecoArt and I added Stickles to the snowflakes.

Since I wasn't very happy with my first attempt, I decided to make another card and I like it MUCH better.

To get my MOJO working again, I used Julee's Mojo Monday sketch that I really love. **sigh** circles just make me happy!! The pattern paper is Basic Grey, Eskimo Kisses (Rachel is out of stock) and the tree and sentiment are also from {ippity} stamps, Kissmas & Mistletoe.
I did some sewing and distressing on this one. Haven't done that in awhile. I used my beloved Swiss Dots EF and Zva rhinestones. Oh, and see how "Peace" is stamped along the bottom? I wanted it soft, so I used the Creamy Caramel ink I used for the sponging. Again, more snow behind the tree -kinda pretty!!

Everyone is invited to play along in the challenge!! If you do, be sure to link your creation to Mr. Linky on the HSE blog and use CIC37 when uploading. Every week, Rach highlighs the top 5!! Congrats to this week's Top Picks !!!

Now head on over to the Sweeties and see how they rocked this cupcake!!!!
