Christmas Thank Yous

Hi everyone!  Well, the stockings were hung by the chimney with care, we decked the halls and had Merry Christmas!  Now it's time to start the clean up, do laundry, reheat left overs and start with the thank you notes!

I have a couple cards to share with you today.  These measure 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" and all use the same layout, are relatively flat and easy to mail. I look at these thank you cards as a great way to use up all that Christmas pattern paper I still have left over.

I die cut and embossed two nesting Circles SM dies to make a thin cardstock frame and die cut a poinsettia for the center.  I put some pattern paper, a cardstock border and a piece of ribbon along the bottom and was done!
Here is a picture of what I made so far.  I have about 10 to go!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy New Year!!  Stay tuned on New Years day for a special blog hop and giveaway!

Stamps: JustRite Papercrafts, Floral Thank You stamp set
Cardstock: Bazzill Paper Basics, Marshmallow card shoppe
Ink: Tsukineko, Versafine Onyx Black
Pattern paper - Kaisercraft, Christmas Carol 6x6 paper pad
Embellishments - Kaisercraft rhinestones in yellow; Velvet and tinsel ribbons
Adhesive - Tombow USA Mono Multi liquid glue; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Tabs

Merry and Bright Christmas card

Hi everyone!  Only a few more days until Christmas and I am so behind!  Come on, I know some of you are just now mailing out your Christmas cards like me, right?!?  LOL!

Speaking of Christmas cards, I have a fun one to share using the new Mix-N-Match Ornaments die set by Spellbinders.  I LOVE this set.  There are 4 basic ornament shapes and 4 inserts that fit into each.  Giving you tons of combinations!

I still had my Peace Love Joy pattern paper pad out from my last Christmas card - I think it's my favorite Christmas paper this year.
My card uses the same ornament shape with 2 different inserts, the snowflake and the tree.  Aren't they fun?!  The sentiment is from Christmas Inner Thoughts by JustRite Papercrafts.
I added a couple scored lines at the top and some organdy ribbon along the bottom for some texture.  I also added some rhinestones to accent the ornaments.

Thanks for stopping by!  Here is a close up picture showing the ornament detail.

Spellbinders Design-abilities Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Design-abilities Blog Hop!   Every other month the Spellbinders® Blog Team gets together for a blog hop -this hop is just for fun and not sponsored by Spellbinders.  Not all of us could participate today, but I encourage you to visit all of their blogs.  You will find amazing projects of all kinds, including papercrafting, mixed media, DIY projects, jewelry, home decor, with lots of tutorials and techniques!

My card uses the 2013 Snowflake Pendant dies.  Each year Spellbinders comes out with a special snowflake pendant die set and this year's is GORGEOUS!  I layered 2 of the snowflakes for my card and added lots of sparkle with rhinestones and stickles.  I also used the A2 Curved Borders for the curve at the bottom.  I've used this layout before and really love it.

As designers we are always inspired by each other and we hope to inspire you too.  Enjoy the hop!

Gina K December release inspiration blog hop: Day 3

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Day 3 of the Gina K Designs DT Inspiration Blog Hop where we hope to inspire you with many beautiful ideas for the sets released in December! As you hop through the blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each because we will choose a few random commenters and they will win a grab bag of Gina's products!! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops.

Today we are spotlighting the new stamp set Lots of Thanks, Illustrated by Beth
and Celebration Diva, Illustrated by Debbie

First up is a fun card using Lots of Thanks.  I combined a couple of the sentiments and accent stamps to make this fun arrangement.  At first I was layering strips of pattern paper together and then realized there was a piece in the pack that already had strips in it.  Much easier -lol!  I used the Black Onyx GKD Color Companions ink and love it's perfect crisp results.
Next up is a New Year's card using Celebration Diva. Isn't she sassy with her frilly dress and glass of champagne?  I think she looks pretty in pink and silver!  I outlined the sentiment panels with a silver glitter pen and used some fun sparkly silver dots as accents.

CardMaker and Crafter's Companion blog hop

Hi everyone!  CardMaker Magazine and Crafter's Companion are teaming up today for a fabulous blog hop! I am using the adorable stamp set from Makey Bakey called Christmas Carol and 2 Spectrum Noir marker sets (the Reds and Warm Grays)!
I wasn't familiar with Spectrum Noir markers, but they work very similar to Copic markers so I was able to use them with no problem.  What I like about these sets is they come with 6 markers in the same family, so there is no guess work on what colors blend with each other.

I will admit when starting to color the mouse I was a bit stumped.  So I looked at the stamp set packaging and copied it exactly!  That's not really cheating, is it?  LOL!

There will be a giveaway with this hop!
Crafter’s Companion is offering two Christmas prize packs which will include a stamp, 2 six-marker sets and an embossing folder along with a digital 1-year subscription to CardMaker!
The giveaway will be hosted on Crafter's Companion FaceBook page.
Check out and "Like" their page for all the details!

Here is a list of who is hopping today:

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!  Your next stop is Roxanne O'Brien!
Supplies used: Spectrum Noir markers and Christmas Carols stamp set from Crafter's Companion; white cardstock from Gina K. Designs; Mini Red Poinsettia flowers from Petaloo; Tuxedo Black Memento ink from Tsukineko; Home for the Holidays 6x6 paper pad from Doodlebug Designs; Enamel dots from My Mind's Eye; Multi Mono liquid glue and 3D foam tabs from Tombow USA;

Gina K December release inspiration blog hop: Day 1

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Day 1 of the Gina K Designs DT Inspiration Blog Hop where we hope to inspire you with many beautiful ideas for the sets released in December! As you hop through the blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each because we will choose a few random commenters and they will win a grab bag of Gina's products!! Today we are spotlighting the new stamp set It's the Little Things, Illustrated by Becky
And Vertical Greetings, Illustrated by Theresa

First up is a baby card using It's the Little Things.  I just love this little elephant.  I am not an expert colorer, so I colored him with 3 grey Copic markers, really simple.  The balloons are stamped with Navy, Sweet Corn (outlined in Honey Mustard) with GKD Color Companions ink.

Next up is a sympathy card using Vertical Greetings.  These cards are always so hard to make, I kept it simple with minimal embellishments and just allowed the beautiful poppies image to say it all.

New Die D-Lites flowers

Hi everyone! I have a fun card to share using a couple of the new Die D-Lites™ dies from Spellbinders.  This line of dies has 1 to 3 coordinating dies in each set and have a lower price point.  Spellbinders just released several new sets and be still my heart, there are 4 new flower sets and a really cool flourish/branch set!

My card uses my favorite of the new flowers, Blooms Three and the leaf branch from the Sprigs set.

Aren't these flowers beautiful?!?  I love the de-bossed detail on the petal tips!  For the leaves, I die cut the sprig, cut it apart and tucked the ends under the petals. I used a couple strips of washi tape along the bottom which accented the pretty border made from the Classic Scallop Edge die and the Flower with Dots insert die from the Classic Ric Rac Edgeabilities set.
Here is a close up pic showing the embossing and de-bossing details on the bloom petals.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
